巴黎萨克雷大学
法国最著名的大学合并案是2014年12月29日成立的巴黎萨克雷大学。巴黎萨克雷大学合并了2所大学、10所大学校与7个研究所，其中包括巴黎综合理工学院、巴黎高等商业学院、巴黎中央理工、高等电力学院和巴黎第十一大学、凡尔赛大学等。合并后校园面积达1350英亩，有约60000名学生与10500名科研人员。巴黎-萨克雷大学筹委会主席 Dominique Vernay表示，该大学的办学目标是在世界大学学术排名中排前十，欧洲大陆第一。在最新世界大学学术排行榜上，萨克雷大学全球排名第13，在欧洲大陆国家中排名第1！
