日本东北大学简称东北大。是一所位于日本东北地方最大都市─仙台市的国立大学。东北大学创立于1907年（明治40年），是日本继东京帝国大学、京都帝国大学之后设立的第三所帝国大学。成立之初称作东北帝国大学，二战后为了消除帝国主义而改为现名。2002年诺贝尔化学奖获得者田中耕一、国学大师鲁迅、数学家苏步青等均出自此校。

在2024年QS世界大学排行榜上，东北大学位于全球第113名；2024泰晤士世界大学排行榜上，东北大学位于130名；在2023世界大学学术排行榜上，东北大学位于201-300名；2023US News世界大学排行榜上，东北大学位于286名。
